The essence of this piece is to evoke the innocence and fearlessness that we are all born with, symbolized by the boy facing various threats with a sense of resilience and creativity. Despite the dangers lurking around him, he remains undeterred, finding solace in turning adversity into opportunity. Through the "Swing of Things" series, I aim to capture moments where we confront our fears with creativity, embracing the childlike faith that enables us to overcome obstacles and find joy in the midst of adversity. Despite the rabbi riddled fox, fully equipped iguana with antlers and spider ready to devour this child, he remains calm. Instead of sheer panic he decides to create a swing out of the black widow’s web with his creativity to ignore all the threats that are surrounding him. it is in this time of anxiety or fear where we can use our hobbies or creativity to drown out the crazy things in this world, even if it’s only for a few hours or a couple minutes. I use art to drown out my fears.
