The essence of my paintings revolves around the theme of escapism, crafting worlds where creatures, animals, and humans seek refuge in times of desperation. These dreamlike realms juxtapose familiar elements in unfamiliar settings. In this piece, the sun conure conquers the skies, soaring into the clouds to evade the destruction done by mankind. Yet, even amidst escape, she confronts the harsh realities of nature, enduring a chilling rainstorm. It serves as a reminder that avoidance merely gives a false sense of security, and new challenges will eventually arise; confronting our fears head-on is the path to true resilience.
